Chuck Knows Church — Baptism. What is the meaning of the sacrament of baptism? What’s best: sprinkled, dunked or poured? Chuck will explain a little about this important ancient act and perhaps have a surprise along the way.
Sermon on September 22nd:
Children must be Taught – Deuteronomy 4:9
Who trains your child? You or the Public School? Who gives your child his/her values, morals? You or the Day Care? Who instructs your child about faith? You or the Church? It’s a duty to train up a child and teach the commandments. How are you doing with it?
“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” (Deuteronomy 4:9)
From RevKev, Associate Pastor at Pender…
Friends, As of this morning, we have the official release date for Faith In Pink! All proceeds from this project will go towards breast cancer comfort baskets/items for those seeking treatment at INOVA Fair Oaks.
It will be on October 19th, in the evening at Pender UMC. Tentative 6:30 until 8:00. We will have several testimonies and have asked for a special guest to talk, from INOVA Fair Oaks.
I hope that you will block out this date, as we play music from our latest CD and listen to others speak about their faith walk during their battle with the disease. The evening at Pender will be the initial release for the CD. As with our past CDs, 100% of ALL proceeds will go to INOVA Fair Oaks for their new Cancer Center and faith baskets to give to those in their time of need. All are invited. No charge, and dessert will be served.
