Today is World Communion Sunday ~ October 6, 2019

World Communion Sunday offers us an opportunity to experience Holy Communion in the context of the global community of faith.

The first Sunday of October has become a time when Christians in every culture break bread and pour the cup to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church.

On that day, we remember that we are part of the whole body of believers.

Christians celebrate the communion liturgy in as many ways as there are congregations. World Communion Sunday can be both a profound worship experience and a time for learning more about our wider community of faith.

Come, celebrate at Pender today at our One Table service at 10:00 AM

Today will be Pastor Catharine’s Last Sunday with us as she will be retiring.

Sunday will be World Communion Sunday

One of the special Sundays authorized by the General Conference to be observed with the taking of an offering throughout the denomination.

World Communion Sunday is observed the first Sunday in October. The observance focuses the attention of United Methodists on the universal and inclusive nature of the church.

Please join us this Sunday, October 2nd, at our 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 am Worship Services.

At our 8:15 & 9:30 Services, Pastor Dan will be preaching the final message in our series:“Shift Happens: Embracing What God’s Got Next.” (Isaiah 43:16-19).

At our 11:00 Service, Javaid Haroon will be preaching on “We are All One in Christ.” (Galatians 3:23-29)
