Christmas Music, Part 6 – Just In Time For Christmas

From RevKev, Pender’s Former Associate Pastor – “As it was, so it is, Christmas about Jesus. We are all distracted by the glitz and festivities, but let us hear the sound of Angels and the call to worship our Newborn King. Just in time for Christmas, a gift from God to you: A baby in a manger who would love us through and through.

Just In Time For Christmas, the latest album release by JC Reigns. 100% of the sales from this CD go to Western Fairfax Christian Ministries to support their mission of providing life-essential support to those needing assistance.

Visit www.jcreigns.org for more information and for a link to purchase digital copies.”

Canned Fruit Drive

Pender’s canned fruit drive for Western Fairfax Christian Ministries continues until September 13th.

Many people are struggling during this pandemic. They are supplementing their diet with food bank donations thereby diminishing reserves at an accelerated rate.

They need our help right now! Please bring cans of fruit to the drive through entrance of Pender UMC, M-F, 9am-5pm.

Place your donations in the blue shopping cart! We filled our first cart the morning after the drive was announced.

Let’s keep this going!  Thanks again! ~ Rev. White

Today is World Communion Sunday ~ October 1, 2017

world-communion

World Communion Sunday offers us an opportunity to experience Holy Communion in the context of the global community of faith.

The first Sunday of October has become a time when Christians in every culture break bread and pour the cup to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church.

On that day, we remember that we are part of the whole body of believers.

Christians celebrate the communion liturgy in as many ways as there are congregations. World Communion Sunday can be both a profound worship experience and a time for learning more about our wider community of faith.

Come, celebrate at Pender today at 8:15, 9:30 or 11:00 AM

Pastor Dan will be preaching at all 3 services and will continue his sermon series based on our church-wide study, “Solve: Finding God’s Solutions in a World of Problems.” This week’s sermon is entitled “Food Network Solutions (Nehemiah 5:1-19).
