Pender’s canned fruit drive for Western Fairfax Christian Ministries continues until September 13th.
Many people are struggling during this pandemic. They are supplementing their diet with food bank donations thereby diminishing reserves at an accelerated rate.
They need our help right now! Please bring cans of fruit to the drive through entrance of Pender UMC, M-F, 9am-5pm.
Place your donations in the blue shopping cart! We filled our first cart the morning after the drive was announced.
Please join us this Sunday, September 24th, at our 8:15, 9:30 and 11am Worship Services.
Pastor Dan will be preaching at all 3 services and will continue his sermon series based on our church-wide study, “Solve: Finding God’s Solutions in a World of Problems.” This week’s sermon is entitled “Let’s Do This!” (Nehemiah 2:11-16)
Juvenile Detention Center
This Sunday, September 24, join us in worship with the young men and women at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center. Your participation matters to the residents, as the staff repeatedly tells us how we make a difference in the young men’s and women’s lives and the lives of the staff!
All you need to do is show up and worship! We meet at 1:00 at the Juvenile Detention Center. Hope to see you there!
All donations may be left in the blue grocery cart located in the coat rack area. Financial contributions are also accepted (cash, check or through our website). Please mark your tax-deductible donation “WFCM Food Pantry.” This will be recorded on your giving statement.
Please note: We do not accept any items that have been opened.
