Renewed Heart, August 16, 2020

This Sunday, Rev. White will preach a sermon titled, “Renewed Heart”.
In preparation, you are invited to read 1 Corinthians 1:30-31.
Please join Pender online as we continue our worship series regarding “The Way of Salvation” at our 9:00 am Traditional Worship or the 11:15 am Common Ground Contemporary service.
Both services stream live on Facebook, YouTube and the Pender Website.

If you know someone unable to watch or listen to the Traditional service on a computer or device, they may use any phone to listen to the audio at 1-571-200-7103  Each Sunday service is available for about a week, then the latest takes its place.

Today, Sunday, July 5 at Pender UMC

Pastor Dan Elmore is back with us.  Dan became our Associate Pastor, again, in 2015 after serving here previously 2010-2012.

During the time in between, he started a church from scratch, and then helped another existing congregation reach out to new people, especially those who don’t “do church.” He brings those same goals to Pender.

He is passionate about leading people to discover more about God. In doing so, we always discover more about ourselves (funny how it never works the other way around).

When Dan isn’t thinking “church,” he’s enjoying time with his family; his beautiful wife Bekah, his daughter Chloe and his son Mark. They love to take advantage of all the great family activities in the NOVA/DC region.

Also new on the website is a feature which highlights any Bible verse and allows reading right from the page.  Just mouse over  the scripture name on any page (this does not currently work in sermon archives).

2013 Virginia Annual Conference ~ June 21-23

Watch the Live streaming of the 2013 Virginia Annual Conference beginning at 1 pm Friday, June 21st from the Virginia Conference website (www.vaumc.org) and from the Virginia Conference Facebook  page (log onto Facebook and search ‘Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church’).

The live streaming will show all sessions of the three-day conference, including worship at 11:15 am Sunday, June 23, when Bishop Young Jin Cho will preach.
