Today, Sunday, June 4th, WEAR RED! It’s Pentecost Sunday! Pentecost is the day on which the Christian church commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and others assembled in Jerusalem. It marks the beginning of the Christian church and the proclamation of its message throughout the world and is often referred to as the birthday of the church.
Please join us at our 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 am worship services. Pastor Dan will be preaching at all 3 services on “Get in the Flow” (John 7:37-39)
Sunday is also Confirmation Sunday! At the 11:00 service, our 2017 Confirmation Class will profess their faith and become official members of our Church! Let’s celebrate together as a church family this important day in the lives of these teens and the plan God has for their lives.
All youth in grades 7th-12th are invited to bring your friends and join our Turning Point Youth Group every Sunday night from 6:30-8:30 pm. Come hungry and share a fabulous dinner provided by our amazing youth parents at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall.

The Blind man couldn’t explain all the details of what Jesus had done or how he had done it. But he did know this, “I once was blind but now I can see.” The stories we have to tell do not have to be elaborate or involved but simple tell what I know to be true because this is my experience with Jesus. What is story you have to tell?

May 31: Sunday School Class: The Truth Project (began September 21) This Focus on the Family’s DVD series, with 26 one-half hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett, is the starting point for looking at life from a Biblical perspective. lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
May 31: Sunday School Class: The Good and Beautiful God (began September 21) (Room 205 – Library) A new Sunday School course immediately after the 9:30 am worship service led by Brian and Angie Green will be reading and discussing this book. Confirmation is a time to learn about your church, the entire church community and what it means to be a faithful Christian. You will also understand the privileges and responsibilities of church membership.
Confirmation is open to 7th graders and up. Confirmation gives the student a chance to make their own decision to follow Jesus Christ, to be baptized and to join your local church.
The period of study in confirmation classes is a time for the student to learn and know the tenets of the church they are in so that they can make an informed decision about joining the church as an adult.
Confirmation Sunday is May 31, 2015.
