Happy Father’s Day!

Please join us this Sunday, June 18th, at our 8:15, 9:30 & 11am Worship Services.  It’s Father’s Day and our very own Tony Hines will be preaching at all 3 services on “As For Me and My House, We Will Serve the Lord” (Mark 5:21-42)

This Sunday is also Graduation Sunday and we will be honoring our high school and college graduates at our 11am Worship Service.  Together we will celebrate this wonderful milestone in their lives!  (All graduates are encouraged to wear their caps and gowns!)

This Sunday, June 19th, is Father’s Day. Our Pastors will still be away at the Annual Conference. God has blessed us 3 gifted people from our congregation who will be preaching in their place at our worship services:

June 21 – Annual Conference Sunday. “Father Knows Best”

Using Romans 8:18-25 as a base, we will take a closer look at the significance of Father’s Day from a variety of perspectives – most importantly, God’s.  Thom Jones will be preaching at 8:15 and 11:00am

9:30 Contemporary Service: Our very own Angie Green will be preaching at our 9:30 service on Joshua 1:6-9:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

  • June 21: Sunday School Class: The Good and Beautiful God (began September 21) (Room 205 – Library) A new Sunday School course immediately after the 9:30 am worship service led by Brian and Angie Green will be reading and discussing this book. Two of our Lay persons shared the love of Christ with us while Pastor Kenny and RevKev were away at the Annual Conference.

8:15 & 11:00 am Services ~ Sermon:  Make Me Whole

Psalm 119:145-152, Psalm 121

Our message was given by Thom Jones, who is a certified lay speaker in the Arlington District and a member of our Church and choir.  Thom is a native of North Carolina and moved to Virginia in 1997 and began working as a teacher in Fairfax County.  His wife, Carolyn, is a software developer and liturgical dancer and will be dancing on Sunday during the anthem.
