Honoring Military/Veterans at Sing ‘N Celebrate

Sing ‘N Celebrate

Nov. 6th, 5-6pm in the Fellowship Hall

Stanley Mikulak, a Marine veteran of World War II, and Joel Nelson, an active military member of the Air Force, will share with us about their service to our country. If you have served in the past or are presently serving, we hope to see you there with your families.

As Judd Gregg has quoted – “The veterans of our military services (and those presently active) have dedicated their lives to their country and deserve to be recognized for their commitment.”

Later Today: Sing ‘n Celebrate ~ Celebrating Military

November 8th at 5-6pm in the Fellowship Hall

We have been glad to hear that our new earlier hour of meeting is very popular! This upcoming SNC will give all of us the opportunity to express our appreciation for our members of the military.

We not only are inviting all Pender military members to attend this service, but we will also have the privilege of hearing two members of the military share about their experiences in serving our country.

In addition, Kay Creel of Pender’s Military Ministry will present some scarves and lap afghans knitted by our Prayer Shawl Ministry, which will be blessed by Pastor Kenny before being sent to deserving members of the military.

CASTING GOD’S LOVE FOR DEPLOYED MILITARY SERVICE MEMBERS

Love to knit or crochet? Have a heart for our military service members?

scarfPlease pick up some yarn in the basket near the coat racks and make a hand made scarf for holiday care packages going out via Operation Gratitude.

Crochet and knit patterns provided as a handout near the basket.  Feel free to attach a tag with encouraging words or your email address.

Finished Items will be collected at the end of October. Questions?  Contact Kay Creel or Priscilla Van Steelant.
