My name is Mary O’Connor and I’m the current Director of Communications at Pender United Methodist Church in Fairfax, VA.

Alder Woods Drive is one stoplight east of the intersection of Fairfax County Parkway/7100 and Lee Jackson Memorial Highway/US 50). When you turn onto Alder Woods Drive continue around the bend to Pender, we are NOT the very first church you see, which is Christ Presbyterian, we are ahead on the left. Here’s a map.
Worship times and styles: Sunday mornings 10:00 is blended worship. The first Sunday of each month we serve Holy Communion.
Sunday School: Most of our children’s Sunday School classes are at 10:30 am. Children may also attend children’s church or nursery. More about Sunday School for children and adults.
Nursery care is provided for all services. Parents are provided with a pager to wear while their children are in the nursery.
We are an “Access for All“ congregation — we have large print hymnals, hearing assistance devices, and automatic doors during worship hours.

I am an elder in a very small church in Statesville, NC and I’m in charge of our website and I download our pastors sermon each week. This week his sermon was from Proverbs 22:6 for our Child Care Sunday with the small child care at our church and the photo you used recently for your blog about the same scripture would be ideal if you will give us permission for one time use.
