Cushing's and kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) patient, founder, owner and webmaster of Cushing's Help and Support, web designer, piano teacher and mom. I am a Cushing's patient who has dealt with Cushing's symptoms since 1983 (or earlier) and the aftereffects of pituitary surgery since 1987. Because I had very little support for my symptoms, diagnosis and surgery, I decided to try to make things a little better for other patients and started a support site called Cushing's Help and Support in 2000. The site has grown to astronomical numbers. This disease isn't as rare as doctors have told us! In 2006, I was also diagnosed with kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma). My left kidney and adrenal gland were removed. Having an adrenal gland removed complicates my post-Cushing's symptoms. I am not planning to have any more rare and unusual diseases. Learn to Ring!

Learn to Ring!

Ever wonder what it feels like to hold a handbell?
Do you like the beautiful sound they make?
Would you like to learn how to ring?
Do you want to have fun?

Ages 7 and up are invited to join us on September 3rd at 12 – 1pm in the Sanctuary for “Learn to Ring.”

There is NO obligation to join one of our fabulous handbell choirs.

Open to all levels from walkers to the hardcore runners.

You’ve Been Flocked!

The Flamingos have landed!

Our Turning Point Youth Group has been very busy this summer! Think PINK!

Pink flamingos have been showing up in the yards of Pender members all over the area! All done in a spirit of friendship and fun in hopes of bringing smiles to all who see them!

Want to get in on the fun? Flocking details:

If flocked, the flamingos will roost in your lawn until the following night when they will mysteriously migrate to another friend’s (victim’s) lawn. (If flocked, the youth group will gladly accept any donation of your choice for the removal of their feathered friends.)
If you would like to specify the next victim, a small donation of $10 to the Youth Group will be accepted. (Pick up a “Flock a Friend” form on the table near the coat racks on Sundays.)
Anti-flocking insurance is also available, guaranteeing that no flock of flamingos will roost on your lawn for the amazing price of $25! (Purchase anti-flocking Insurance on Sundays at the table near the coat racks.)
