TONIGHT – Come Together!

Please join us for a service and get together as families and friends on Saturday, October 22, at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

This is a new outreach ministry to invite not only members of Pender who are from various ethnic groups, but also to encourage them to bring their friends who may be of other faith backgrounds.

Enjoy great music, a time of fellowship and connecting with neighbors, friends, and families from all over the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Please keep in mind that we will be meeting on a monthly basis on the 4th Saturday of each month. COME ONE, COME ALL!

Make a Difference!

This Sunday, October 23, join us in worship with the young men and women at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center.

Your participation matters to the residents, as the staff repeatedly tells us how we make a difference in the young men and women’s lives and the lives of the staff!

All you need to do is show up and worship!

We meet at 1:00 pm at the Juvenile Detention Center. Hope to see you there!

Pender’s Toys for Tots Campaign

The bins for collection of new toys and books are now in the coat rack area. As many of you already know, besides needing to be new, these donations cannot contain any food and cannot have any relation to guns.

Our campaign will end on Dec. 11th, so that members of the Marine Corps will have enough time to deliver our gifts to less fortunate children for Christmas.

Fair Trade Prayer Breakfast and Market!

If you like to eat, pray, fellowship and SHOP, please join the United Methodist Women on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9-11am for a prayer breakfast.

Our topic will be “Fair Trade: What is it, and why should we care about it?” Immediately following the breakfast, we will be hosting a Fair Trade Market, where we will have fair trade merchandise available for purchase.

There is no cost for the breakfast. Join us to learn about and support this worthy cause.

Service opportunity! We need volunteers to assist with the Fair Trade Market after the prayer breakfast on November 5!

Love Kids?

Want to spend your Sunday mornings singing songs, playing and teaching our youngest church members about Jesus?

The Pender Childcare team is looking for volunteers to help out in the nursery during the 9:30am and 11am services (ages 2 and under) and during the 11am service in Cherub Church (ages 2 to Kindergarten) on Sundays.
