For all 4th-6th Graders Meets this Sunday, January 10th, in the Cornerstone Room (Room 215) from 5-7pm. We will continue with Bible verses and stories in Christian Rock songs and will be making pillows for guests in the hypothermia center. |
All current acolytes and all 4th-12th grade students interested in serving as an acolyte, please attend the acolyte training session on Sunday, February 7th at 9:30 in the Sanctuary.
We ask that at least one parent or guardian also attend. Acolytes assist pastors during the 8:15 and 11am services. Come learn what it means to be a part of this important ministry.

1) Monday Morning Women’s Bible Study will be starting a new study entitled Joy! A Bible Study on Philippians for Women beginning January 11th at 9:30 am in Room 216. Contact Jami Flemmons for more information.
2)Women of the New Testament is the focus of the Tuesday am Women’s Bible Study at 9:30-11am in Room 218-220, beginning January 12th. Contact Karen Cross for more information.
3) Wednesday Night Women’s Bible Study and small group will resume meeting on January 13th from 7:30-9pm in the Library with a study on the book of Ecclesiastes, using a guide by Dee Brestin, A Woman of Contentment. Please contact Mary Metzler for additional information.
4) Beginning January 17th, our 10:30am Sunday School Class will begin a new study by Adam Hamilton, entitled, Seeing Gray in A World of Black and White: Thoughts on Religion, Morality, and Politics. Contact Angie Green for more information.

The CPP policy, training & all the forms can be found on our website, www.penderumc.org/cpp or you can search for CPP in the search box in the upper right corner of the home page. You will be able to view and/or download the policy and print out the applicable forms. Return completed the forms to the box on the welcome center in the narthex. There is a informational letter as well as all necessary CPP forms located in the narthex.
If you are a cluster lead or heading up a youth program, please use the informational letter as a reference. After March 1st, if you haven’t completed your forms, you will no longer be able to volunteer with children. If you have any questions call Heather Amos at (703) 266-2424.
Please know that the safety of our children is the reason the policy exists. Thank you for your time and talents given to the children’s programs of Pender UMC.
