Tomorrow – Fair Trade Prayer Breakfast and Market!

If you like to eat, pray, fellowship and SHOP, please join the United Methodist Women on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9-11am for a prayer breakfast.

Our topic will be “Fair Trade: What is it, and why should we care about it?” Immediately following the breakfast, we will be hosting a Fair Trade Market, where we will have fair trade merchandise available for purchase.

There is no cost for the breakfastJoin us to learn about and support this worthy cause.

Service opportunity! We need volunteers to assist with the Fair Trade Market after the prayer breakfast on November 5!

Please look for sign up sheets in the Church Lobby, or contact Angie Green or Caroline Anderson for more information.

Tomorrow is the LAST Day to Get Chicken Chili Tickets

Ruth Circle will have their annual Chicken Chili Lunch on November 6th.

We are now selling tickets between all three services on Sundays.

The tickets must be purchased by Oct. 30th so we will know the number of people. The price of the tickets: $8 per adult, $5 for children between 5 and l0 years. Children under 5 will be free. Family ticket for $30. 

Consider pre-ordering a handmade cornucopia at the Chicken Chili Luncheon ticket area.

The price is $20 and the proceeds will benefit the Building Fund. They will be ready for pick-up at the luncheon on November 6. (They are sturdy enough to mail as a gift.)

Pender Fall Flea Market

Flea Market and Boutique

 

Fall Flea Market/Boutique, September 29 – October 1st

We need you! The Fall Flea Market/Boutique starts setting up on Sunday, September 25th through Wednesday, September 28th, and much help is needed. Join us for a light lunch before we begin to set up on Sunday, September 25th, after the 11am Service.

Enjoy a wonderful time working together and spending time with others in our Church family. Donations to be sold at the Flea Market/Boutique are now being accepted. Start clearing out your closets now! One man’s junk is another man’s treasure!

Light lunch is provided for workers on Monday through Wednesday. Cashiers, baggers & cooks are needed throughout the event. Please sign up at the Sign-Up Center in the Church Lobby.

Also, we are coming up on Historic Centreville Day, on October 15, where we will be purchasing a booth and distributing Free

1)      children’s books

2)      New Bibles

3)      Lemonade

 

We are still looking for volunteers from the church to staff the booth, and represent both the Pender Regift Thrift Store and the church.
