The UMW will host the Beth Moore Living Proof Live Simulcast for our 2014 Fall Retreat on Saturday, September 13. Beth Moore will teach in three different sessions throughout the day, and worship music will be provided by Travis Cottrell. Beth Moore’s mission is “to guide women everywhere into a richer, more fulfilling relationship with the Father.”
The program runs from 9:30 to 4:30 with a break for lunch. Doors will open at 9:00, with time for fellowship before the event begins. Continental breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served.
The cost of the retreat is $10 per person, payable on the morning of the retreat.

Pastor Kenny will be preaching on “A Neglected Salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3-4)
The writer of Hebrews asks a simple question. “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” Have we neglected it? From what do we escape? Let’s see how great a salvation we have been given and claim it this week.

At our 9:30 Common Ground Worship Service, RevKev will continue his Sermon Series on “The Stories of Jesus.” His sermon this Sunday is entitled “Jesus, Light of the World” (John 8:12-20)

What could be better than the Nats-Phillies followed by a Lincoln Brewster post game concert?! Won’t you join the Pender Men as we go to The Washington Nationals’ Faith Day Saturday, September 6th (4:05 pm) and directly following the game vs. the Philadelphia Phillies they will have a post game concert by contemporary Christian musician, Lincoln Brewster and select players will give their personal Christian testimonies (e.g., Adam LaRoche, Denard Span, Ian Desmond)
You won’t want to miss the start of the game — Pender’s Handbell Ringers will be ringing the National Anthem with 600 other bell ringers!
