Sing ‘N Celebrate with Time of Healing ~ April 7, 2013

When this Sing ‘N Celebrate arrives, we will be one week past Easter. What a great time to celebrate the Risen Lord and all that means to us and every Christian!! Jesus’ words of “Fear not” are now more relevant than ever before.

Join us as we consider this message here in Fairfax, VA, wherever there are needs for physical, emotional or spiritual healing. Jesus would be overjoyed to see us trusting in His power to heal and glorify His Father.

If healing is needed, feel free to come forward when Pastor Kenny invites you to come to the Time For Healing.

Join Sean Niehoff & His Band as they open for Ashes Remain at an all day, all ages, Christian Rock Praise Festival Saturday, March 9th from 4:30-10:00 pm (doors open at 4 pm) at Empire, 6355 Rolling Road, Springfield, VA 22152

Proceeds benefit Compassion International, to release children from their spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.

Camp Highroad Benefit Concert

We are so excited to be a part of the Camp Highroad Benefit Concert again this year!

We hope that all of you will make time on March 2nd, to come to Arcola UMC and join us for an evening of worship and praise.

JC Reigns feels blessed to be a part of this wonderful event, which will raise money for children who might not otherwise be able to attend a Christian camp this summer.

Pan Am Flight 103 (Lockerbie)

Pan Am Flight 103 Memorial Cairn

On December 21 at 1:30PM the Pender UMC Choir traditionally sings for the Pan Am Flight 103 (Lockerbie) Memorial Service at Arlington National Cemetery.

Last year was my first time experiencing this service and it was so touching. One of the songs we sang is traditionally sung at this service – “Under His Wings”, which was composed in memory of the victims. Last year was the 23rd anniversary of the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing. Brian Murtagh, Department of Justice Prosecutor for the Lockerbie case
