Joy from the Inside Out –John 15:9-11, Luke 1:39-55

Joy is the GIFT that is given to all the world by Jesus. A promise made not only in his birth but also in His living. But do we really take the joy, live in the joy and share the joy?

As Christmas is only a few days away is it really “Joy To The World?”

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” (John 15:9-11)

2013 Christmas Offering

The Pender 2013 Christmas offering will be split 50/50 between UMCOR US domestic relief and the Pender Altar Fund.

UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) — 100% of donations received go directly to relief.
The Altar Fund is administered by the pastors and is used to help people in need in our own community.

Help Us Help the Homeless this Winter

Hypothermia Center at Pender

Week of January 12-19.

Help us be a blessing to the homeless in our area.

We are fortunate to have groups who have already committed to prepare and serve each meal. Other ways you can help:

We need 4 servants to check our guests in and visit with them each night.
We’re also looking for overnight security.
Food, miscellaneous, and financial donations welcome too.

Look for the signup sheets at the Welcome Center in the Narthex beginning Sunday, December 15th. For further information email Dave Cacner or Priscilla Van Steelant.
