Advent Sing ‘n Celebrate

This year’s Community Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:30PM at King of Kings Lutheran Church on Route 50.

Thanksgiving Baskets for the Needy

After the 11am service on Nov. 13th, help is needed with bagging of items, baking cookies, assembling baskets and sorting clothing in the Fellowship Hall.

Monetary donations appreciated (a donation of $45 = cost of one basket).

Help us distribute Thanksgiving baskets & clothing to the needy in our area at 2:00 pm outside on our church grounds on Nov. 20th.

Last Day to Register for the Kids’ Harvest Fest

Kids’ Harvest Fest, Saturday, October 29th

Kids’ Night Out — Celebrate fall & our love for Christ! (while parents have a night out!)

4:45 – 5:15 pm — Trunk or Treat

5:15 – 8:00 pm — Kid’s Night Out

Cost: $5 per kid or $10 total per family

Come to the Trunk or Treat Event organized by our Pender Youth starting at 4:45 pm. Then drop your kids (potty-trained pre-schoolers through 4th grade) with the Children’s Council Volunteers at 5:15 for an evening of fun! We will have a pizza dinner, crafts, play time and movies.

Sunday will be World Communion Sunday

One of the special Sundays authorized by the General Conference to be observed with the taking of an offering throughout the denomination.

World Communion Sunday is observed the first Sunday in October. The observance focuses the attention of United Methodists on the universal and inclusive nature of the church.

Please join us this Sunday, October 2nd, at our 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 am Worship Services.

At our 8:15 & 9:30 Services, Pastor Dan will be preaching the final message in our series:“Shift Happens: Embracing What God’s Got Next.” (Isaiah 43:16-19).

At our 11:00 Service, Javaid Haroon will be preaching on “We are All One in Christ.” (Galatians 3:23-29)
