Pender’s Junior Youth Group for Grades 4 – 6

We will meet this Sunday, October 11th, for our Octoberfest (Cornerstone Room – Rm. 215). Please bring a friend for apple bobbing, doughnut-eating fun. We will continue our theme of Bible stories and verses in Christian Rock songs.

Please join us for a wonderful time of worship this Sunday, September 13th, at our 8:15, 9:30 & 11:00 worship services, as we kick-off our church-wide study, “A Disciple’s Path.”

Both Pastor Kenny & Pastor Dan will begin our new sermon series based on our church-wide study and will be preaching on “Defined by Grace” (Luke 10:25-28)

What is a disciple? As we walk a disciple’s path, it is not a path that wanders aimlessly through the woods. There is a destination we’re trying to reach. What is it? Join us and find out.

You won’t want to miss hearing from two of our Pender youth who have already discovered the joy of serving — Kayla Moxley in Philippi and Katelyn Barone in Peru for the first time. When God sends us to serve, God also sends us blessings. Since we are in the hiring process for our new band, they won’t be with us for this SNC. However, Peter and Rachel Kotiah have graciously agreed to provide our praise music for this time of worship.

You won’t want to miss this Sunday, June 14th!

June 14th is Senior Sunday and we will be recognizing all of our 2015 graduates during our 11:00 Service. (If you are a 2015 high school or college graduate, please wear your cap and gown.)

It’s always an exciting time to see our first graders receive their Bibles, which will also take place during the 11:00 Service.

After the 11:00 service, stay and enjoy our Pender Picnic and RevKev Send off! Everyone is welcome to attend! Enjoy great food, a wonderful time of fellowship with others in our Church family, and LOTS of fun and games.

June 14: Sunday School Class: The Truth Project (began September 21) This Focus on the Family’s DVD series, with 26 one-half hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett, is the starting point for looking at life from a Biblical perspective. lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
June 14: Sunday School Class: The Good and Beautiful God (began September 21) (Room 205 – Library) A new Sunday School course immediately after the 9:30 am worship service led by Brian and Angie Green will be reading and discussing this book. End of year meeting is this Sunday, June 14th from 5 – 7 pm. Pender’s Jr. Youth Group will be saying goodbye to our 6th graders with pizza and ice cream.

FREE CARWASH for ALL from 5-6 pm as part of our outreach project. (It is really FREE — no donations!)

Please bring extra clothes to change into; traditionally kids get soaked!

Turning Point Youth Group Kick-Off

Join us for an exciting evening on Sunday, September 7th, as we kick off the new school year!

You won’t want to miss hearing our guest from India, Anita Aidinyantz, as she shares regarding her many opportunities to reach out to Indians heading toward a Christ-less eternity. In past years, she has worked with India Evangelical Mission, Inc. – a multifaceted ministry with the goal of winning the lost, equipping the saints, and then sending them forth to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord.
