This year Pender will host its 28th Missions Conference and you will not want to miss this transforming weekend! Come for part of the weekend or come for all! You will be blessed!

Pender celebrates missions on Friday, April 17th through Sunday, April 19th with a weekend of activities for the whole family!

Enjoy an international-themed supper
Hear inspiring stories of missionaries serving around the world
Listen to praise and worship music
Our children will be engaged with a special program designed for them!

Thank you for your support of the Faith Promise Missions Budget each year! The Faith Promise Mission’s Budget is separate from the general budget of the church and is funded by faith promises. A faith promise is when you make a promise to provide financial support to missions, you may not know where the resources will come from, and you trust God to provide the resources to meet your promise.This year’s Faith Promise Missions Budget goal is $325,000 and supports global and local missionaries, missionary organizations, short-term mission trips and projects.

Can you host a Missionary in your home?

Housing is needed during Pender’s April 17th-19th Mission Conference for our visiting missionaries. Housing is needed for a couple, a single woman, and two single men. If you can serve the Lord in this wonderful way, please contact Beryl Marin.

Sing ‘n Celebrate Worship Service

February 9th @ 7pm

God is often more patient with us than we are with ourselves. There are many fruits of the Spirit, with patience for many of us being a difficult one to achieve. Our prayer for this time of worship is that we will come away feeling encouraged by the praise songs selected by our new Worship Leader, Diane Wilhite, the drama presented by Jason Griffin and the message brought to us by Richard Eitzel. We are reminded in Philippians 1:6 that “God began doing a good work in us, and He will continue it until it is finished when Jesus comes again.”

A Way to Serve the Lord…

Carol Wilson needs members of the laity to train this year to serve as the Lay Director or a Co-Lay Director for our Sing ‘n Celebrate Service. If interested in finding out more information, please contact Carol by clicking here.

Sing ‘n Celebrate Service ~ January 12th at 7:30 pm

SING ‘N CELEBRATE ~ JANUARY 12 AT 7:30 PM: A one-time change of date and time due to a need to coordinate with FACETS and our guests’ preparation for the evening. Please plan to attend and welcome our guests to our church.

Also, we need to extend a big Pender Welcome to our SNC’s new Worship Leader, Diane Wilhite, and our new praise band, JC Reigns!

The theme for this evening of worship will be forgiveness with some reminders of how we can forgive the way our Father forgives us.

The fact that forgiveness does not depend on our actions or attitudes will be made clear by our three storytellers: Bob Baumgartner, Mark Atwood and Ken Dieffenderfer.

Rev Kev will share in our short message. As a discovery God has placed at our disposal, forgiveness is worth making because none of us is in a position to live without it!!

Ice Cream Social

Join us for an Ice Cream Social Friday, July 19th at 7:00-8:30 pm at Pender in the Fellowship Hall

Enjoy a summer treat with family and friends at Pender!

There will be plenty of ice cream and toppings, a fun activity for the kids and praise music for all.

Proceeds for this event will go to benefit H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, a Christian-based non-profit that supports our military troops and their families before, during and after deployment.

Christmas Sing ‘n Celebrate ~ Dec. 2 at 7:00 pm

At this time of worship, we will have chance to consider the incredible challenges Mary and Joseph faced when they were learning that they would be earthly parents of God’s Son. Joseph’s respect for Mary’s character and the explanation she gave him, as well as her attitude toward the Expected Child, must have made it very difficult to think his bride had done something wrong.

Please mark your calendar for this evening, December 2 at 7:00PM, when we will welcome to our Pender Stage Kerrie Barone and Daniel May for the first time.

Sing ‘N Celebrate is Pender UMC’s casual, evening service in which all of the music is praise music led by our worship leader and praise band. We also feature short dramas which lead into a short message. Those attending always have an opportunity to be involved in freely lifting up their individual prayers during our time of prayer.
