Help Support an Eagle Scout Service Project

One of the scouts from Pender’s Boy Scout Troop 1530 is currently working toward his Eagle Scout rank—the highest achievement in Scouting.

As part of his Eagle Scout service project, Abraham is collecting new toiletries for Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) to help support individuals and families in our local community.

Donations will be accepted at Pender through March 29.

Items needed include:

Shampoo and conditioner
Body wash and soap
Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Deodorant
Lotion
Diapers
Feminine pads

Every item makes a difference and helps care for neighbors in need. Thank you for supporting Abraham’s project and the important work of WFCM!

You can drop off donated items for the Eagle Scout Project in the brown collection box just inside Pender’s front entrance.

Week of January 12-19.

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone is invited to attend a short Hypothermia Center Information Session this Sunday, Jan. 12th at 12:15 pm.

Help us be a blessing to the homeless in our area.

Look for the signup sheets at the Welcome Center in the Narthex. For further information email Dave Cacner or Priscilla Van Steelant.

The following donations are also appreciated:

Motel favors (soap, etc.)
Combs
Toothpaste & toothbrushes
Feminine hygiene products
Towels & washcloths (new/used)
Clothing (extra large & up), coats, shoes, socks
Backpacks & duffel bags
Snacks
Plastic shopping bags

Please feel free to drop off your donations in the Church Office.

Help us be a blessing to the homeless in our area.

We are fortunate to have groups who have already committed to prepare and serve each meal. Other ways you can help:

We need 4 servants to check our guests in and visit with them each night.
We’re also looking for overnight security.
Food, miscellaneous, and financial donations welcome too.
