HELP! The Pumpkins are coming…

The pumpkins are coming TODAY at 4:00 pm and we need your help! Can you stop by the Church today around that time and help us unload the pumpkins and help set up our Pender Pumpkin Patch?

Our Youth Pastor, Tim Lyberger, would LOVE to have lots of help! Hey teenagers — serving the Lord in this wonderful way also counts as community service!

After today, the Pender Pumpkin Patch will be open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm until October 31st. Extra help greatly appreciated and needed during these hours. All proceeds will go to bless the Navaho Indians in New Mexico and our youth ministry here at Pender.

Women’s Circle Meetings

The Mary Martha Women’s Circle will meet on Monday, October 13th at 7 pm at Pender in the Library. All women are invited to attend.

The Bessie Gooding Women’s Circle will meet on Saturday, October 18th, at 9:30 am at Pender. Please feel free to bring your breakfast and enjoy fellowship, service activities and devotions with our small circle of women who love the Lord. New members welcome! Oct. 12 – Gifts – Where Do They Come From? – James 1:16-18
Food, clothing, lodging, transportation, family, friends, love, caring, laughter. Where do they come from? We take it for granted that they are just there. But where do good gifts come from? Let’s talk about how the “good gifts” come to us and who might be sending them.

October 12: New Sunday School Class: The Truth Project (began September 21) (in the Genesis to Revelation Sunday School Class in Room 218-220) This Focus on the Family’s DVD series, with 26 one-half hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett, is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
October 12: New Sunday School Class: The Good and Beautiful God (began September 21) (Room 205 – Library) A new Sunday School course immediately after the 9:30 am worship service led by Brian and Angie Green will be reading and discussing this book. Pender “Kindness Pouches” will be available in the Narthex this Sunday! Bless someone that has shown you kindness.

Have you ever had someone go out of their way to help you? Did you wish you had a small token to give to them in Christian love and thanksgiving? Have you ever wanted to invite a stranger in need to church, but weren’t sure just how?

The “Kindness Pouch” is a kit that can help you shine God’s love in any of these circumstances.

Celebration of Children, Sing ‘n Celebrate. Tonight at 7:00PM

We all need to hold onto our WWJD bracelets, because we will always have the need to keep asking ourselves – “What would Jesus do?” If you have one, how about wearing it on Sunday evening when we celebrate our children?

Service marked Jesus’ life from start to finish. He served through sacrifice – always putting the needs of others above His own.
