New Church-Wide Study

On September 17th, our Pastors will begin a new sermon series based on our new church-wide study, Solve: Finding God’s Solutions in a World of Problems by Talbot Davis (5-week study based on the Book of Nehemiah).

EVERYONE is invited to join one of our studies. This will be a great opportunity for our church family to grow closer to God and each other! There are groups for everyone!

9:30 am – Beginning Sept.10th in Room 200 (Bethany Class)

9:30 am – Beginning Sept.17th in Room 215 (Cornerstone Class)

Pender Rocks the Block! TONIGHT, September 15 @ 6-9 pm

Pender Church is rocking the block! We’re having a block party for our neighbors, and you’re invited for food, games, and live entertainment.

Face painting
Balloon sculpting
Glow in the dark games

We Love Our Pender Children!

Attention!! Anyone working with children!! The new and improved Child Protection Policy (CPP) is here! CPP has a new annual renewal timeline and it is all automated and online.

The new policy is now effective September to September of each year. It is no longer based on calendar year. Starting this month any one working with children must complete the online training and review the new CPP on Pender’s website. You can find it under the “Resources” tab, then click policies and forms. The Application and Annual Renewal Form (AAR) is automated and can be submitted from the website. No more paper forms!! No more training forms either because each person is required to review the online training each year.

If you do not have access to Pender’s website, a hard copy of the CPP and the AAR can be found in the Narthex and can be completed manually and returned to the tray marked CPP form. If you are currently working with children, you will need to have your Application and Annual Renewal Form completed by October 1 to continue working with children. Your application is good until September of the following year.

It’s Time to Update the Church Calendar!

Pender Members can add your own events to the church calendar now (no paper!). Information is at http://www.penderumc.org/guidelines

It’s time to update the church calendar with all activities for the 2017 – 2018 school year!

Our calendar shows up in many places – our website, the Church Life app, screens in the church lobbies & the Sunday bulletins.

Many people rely on it; therefore it’s important that it be comprehensive, up to date and correct.

Activities include all church functions – whether they occur at the church or offsite.

Meetings, Bible studies, small groups, retreats, rehearsals, etc.

Calendar activities are for one year only *September to August) and should be re-submitted annually.

If you’re not a Pender member, click on this link for the RESOURCE REQUEST FORM. Fill it out and drop it off in the church office or scan it and send it by email to church.calendar@penderumc.org.
