Today’s Bible Verse
“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,” –Titus 2:11-12

January 8th at 5-6pm in the Felllowship Hall
We hope you will be available to appreciate the salvation testimonies of two members of our laity. Eric Smith reminds us of the value of testimonies in church — “Testimonies make Gospel truth take on flesh and blood. It is one thing to hear a sermon on God’s grace; it is quite another to hear a brother or sister speak personally of his or her experience of God’s grace.”

Title: Starting Off Right
Scripture: 1 Peter 1:13-2:3
We’ll be using Wesley’s Covenant Prayer.
I am no longer my own, but yours.
Put me to what you will, rank me with whom you will;
put me to doing, put me to suffering;
let me be employed for you, or laid aside for you,
exalted for you, or brought low for you;
let me be full,
let me be empty,
let me have all things,
let me have nothing:
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things
to your pleasure and disposal.
And now, glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
you are mine and I am yours. So be it.
And the covenant now made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven.
Amen.
