About MaryO
Cushing's and kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) patient, founder, owner and webmaster of Cushing's Help and Support, web designer, piano teacher and mom.
I am a Cushing's patient who has dealt with Cushing's symptoms since 1983 (or earlier) and the aftereffects of pituitary surgery since 1987.
Because I had very little support for my symptoms, diagnosis and surgery, I decided to try to make things a little better for other patients and started a support site called Cushing's Help and Support in 2000. The site has grown to astronomical numbers. This disease isn't as rare as doctors have told us!
In 2006, I was also diagnosed with kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma). My left kidney and adrenal gland were removed. Having an adrenal gland removed complicates my post-Cushing's symptoms.
I am not planning to have any more rare and unusual diseases.
My entire bio to date can be found here: http://www.cushings-help.com/maryos_story.htm
But, enough of that - it's not always about Cushing's, or even Cancer. This one is about Life!

This year the Pender Men are teaming with our sponsored Boy Scout troop #1530 and combining our mulch sales so that we can help each other’s programs and deliver your mulch to your driveway on Saturday March 5th.
Pender Men sponsors short term mission trips for our parishioners to places like Peru, Thailand, Poland, Paraguay, and Philippi, WV, as well as supporting local missions and vital Pender activities like the recent Men’s Retreat held this past November.
Please visit http://goo.gl/PJWfMN to securely order your mulch, or contact Dave Cacner at dcacner@verizon.net.
Please also consider volunteering to assist in delivering mulch with us on the 5th.
Thanks so much!

All funds raised will be paid directly to Pender United Methodist Church for Funds will be used for our Building in Faith Capital Campaign.
Order your shirt in grey or mint green here: https://www.booster.com/pender-umc-building-in-faith-shirts
The deadline to place orders is March 14th. We won’t have the shirts in hand until the 30th though, so will miss having them for our Jason’s deli fundraiser.
We need a minimum of 17 shirts for the order to happen.
We offered two colors and two styles (a unisex that goes from youth through adult and a ladies cut). We chose these colors based on recommended colors from the t-shirt designer, since colors we had originally selected would not have highlighted our logo as well once they were printed. And limiting it to two will allow us to better stand out as a group at these events.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:48-51)
