Current Opportunities to Serve the Lord at Pender UMC

help-wanted

Can you count? We need Counters!

The counting committee is in need of counters to help count the offerings for all three services.

Counters must be a member of Pender United Methodist Church. All counters must be at least a senior in high school and be proficient in EXCEL.

Counters will be placed on teams of three (no related members on any team). Counter teams should not have to count more than once every two months or possibly less. Counters start counting each Sunday following the 8:15 service at 9:15 and continue to count the Common Ground Service, Sunday school and the 11:00 am service. Counters are usually finished by the time the 11:00 service lets out. Counters will be limited to a three-year term when signing up. The Finance Committee must approve all counters.

If you are interested in signing up, please contact Sue Pierce by clicking on this link.

Do you love babies & toddlers? We need Nursery Workers!

At Pender, we provide a Nursery where infants and toddlers (newborns through age 4) are cared for in a safe and caring Christian environment.

We are in need of new servants to help staff the Nursery during Sunday Services and other events. Would you prayerfully consider serving as a Nursery Worker?

Contact the Church Office by clicking on this link.

thank-you

stories-header

Please join us this Sunday, May 17, in worship at the 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 Services.

Sermon Series:  STORIES

May 17 – HIS Story – Acts 4:1-20

Stories always engage and captivate.  They have a power all their own.  Jesus’ story really carries a punch.  When told, it is so unbelievable that it makes you want to believe.  It causes you to believe.  It makes you into a believer.  Let’s learn from Peter and John and tell the story.

“But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:19-20)

words-header

Please join us this Sunday, May 10, in worship at the 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00 Services

Sermon Series:  WORDS

May 10: The Only Commandment with a Promise – Deuteronomy 5:16

HONOR your father and mother!  On Mother’s Day this sounds appropriate.  How do we do that?  What does that mean?  And if we do it there’s a promise.  Yes there is and some wonder why life has gone sour.  Let the Bible remind you of the foundation of success.
