January 8: The 11:00am Sunday School Class is very excited to announce its new study of C.S. Lewis’ “The Screwtape Letters.” This is a timeless Christian classic that is as thought provoking today as it was when it was first released, and promises to spur great discussions about our faith, our church, and our nation. The CPP policy, training & all forms can be found on our website by clicking on this link or you can search for CPP in the search box in the upper right corner of the home page. You will be able to view and/or download the policy and print out the applicable forms.
Return completed forms to the box at the Sign-Up Center in the church lobby. There is an informational letter as well as all necessary CPP forms located in the lobby.
If you are a cluster lead or heading up a youth program, please use the informational letter as a reference.
After March 1st, if you haven’t completed your forms, you will no longer be able to volunteer with children.If you have any questions contact Heather Amos.
Please know that the safety of our children is the reason the policy exists. Thank you for your time and talents given to the children’s programs of Pender UMC.
Please join us this Sunday, December 11th, as we celebrate Building in Faith for the Future. We will come together for one service at 10am, followed by a luncheon and dessert reception.

Pender is excited to once again host Christmas Vacation Bible School!
We’d love to lighten your load this holiday season and give you the gift of time to prepare for Christmas. Your children will have a wonderful time learning about the true meaning of Christmas while moving through different rotations of Christmas Story, craft, music and recreation. The children will be served lunch, so please note any allergies your child has on the registration form.
Children ages 3 through 6th grade are welcome. Please note that all children attending MUST be potty-trained.
Please note: 2 adults per classroom are needed to help shepherd children at each rotation. Sign up to help by emailing Joni or on the Connection Card on Sunday.
The fee for this event is $10 per child or $20 per family, to cover the cost of food and craft materials. The fee is payable during registration.
Registration closes November 28. Don’t miss out!
Since it is Jesus’s Birthday we ask each participant to consider bringing a NEW toy / book as a gift for the “TOYS FOR TOTS” Campaign. The Marines will distribute all your donations to less fortunate children before Christmas. Please don’t bring any food or toy guns/weapons and also gift needs to be unwrapped.
