On October 6th at 4pm the pumpkin truck will arrive at Pender! We need all the help we can get to get the pumpkins off the truck and into our patch!
After that, we need volunteers to sit in the patch from 11am-7pm daily (except Sunday). Please consider taking a shift or many! Your time supports the Pender Turning Point Youth, the Navajo Indians in Arizona who grew our pumpkins and of course Tim.
Also…teenagers, if you need service hours, this counts!!
Our Pender United Methodist Men & United Methodist Women groups are sponsoring a Golf Outing on October 6 at 12pm at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Clifton, Va.

Please pick up a baby bottle at the Sign-Up Center in the main lobby on Sunday and help support Sanctity of Life Ministries. Fill with your spare change, a check or cash and return by October 15.

Pastor Dan will begin a new sermon series based on our church-wide study, “Solve: Finding God’s Solutions in a World of Problems” and their first sermon in the series is entitled “Problemists” (Nehemiah 1:1-11).
Turning Point Youth Group for 7th – 12th Grades
All 7th through 12th graders are invited to bring their friends to Youth Group every Sunday at 6:30pm (dinner will be provided).
All parents of teenagers are invited to a parents meeting regarding our Turning Point Youth Group on September 17th at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall.
All donations may be left in the blue grocery cart located in the coat rack area. Financial contributions are also accepted (cash, check or through our website). Please mark your tax deductible donation “WFCM Food Pantry.” This will be recorded on your giving statement.
