Rev. Kevin Havens (RevKev) says:

We wanted to let you know that on Saturday, November 16^th, The JC Reigns Little Big Band,  will host another Evening To Remember here at Pender UMC.

This is a time when we invite the elderly from area Senior Living Facilities, to be our guests, as many of them will not be able to “go home” for the holidays.

This is an evening of fun music from their past, as they are escorted by US Marine Corp personnel, served by 4^th to 6^th grade young people, with homemade desserts and refreshments.

There is no charge, this is simply an opportunity for our congregation and friends to be there as hosts and hostesses, for those who spend much of their time alone and gazing out the window.

I hope you will make plans to join us and I will promise, you too will be blessed by those you come to serve. They are very appreciative and this is something that we want to continue to offer, so they feel special at this time of year.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of this wonderful ministry to those who might not have other options when we gather with our families.
