Please join us today at our 8:15, 9:30 or 11:00 am worship services. We will bring to a conclusion the three week series on the Three Simple Rules of our founder John Wesley. These are rules which call forth the best in each of us, and challenge us to be Jesus’ disciples every day. The key to our success is in the third rule: Stay in Love with God. (Mark 12:28-34)
We also will begin to receive our Pledge Cards for your financial stewardship commitments.
Also today:
The United Methodist Women will host a Fair Trade Market after the 11am service (during the Chicken-Chili lunch) in the fellowship room and fellowship hall. The vendors will sell fair trade goods, including: food, clothing, accessories, household goods, decorations, etc. Please come peruse the merchandise and know that anything you purchase has helped to better the life of someone in a less fortunate situation than ours.
Fair trade means workers in developing countries are paid a living wage. Some of the proceeds will go to the Pender UMW for our mission work and UMCOR. Thanks for your support and happy shopping!

Flea Market and Boutique Set Up Begins today.
Enjoy a BBQ luncheon (provided by the UMW) immediately following the 11am service and then help us get a start on all of the set up and unpacking of boxes!
Our Pender men will return from their retreat later in the day, so we really need as many hands on deck as possible to make this happen! Please remember, these are the biggest fundraisers for the UMW and UMM and allow us to raise all of our budget for missions throughout the year!
Of course we will continue to need help throughout the week with getting everything in its place, so consider helping then as well or you can be a cashier during the event.
We would also love to have extra bakers for our women’s bake sale. Donations for the flea market will be accepted beginning this Sunday through Wednesday.
We hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please contact our leaders below:
All donations may be left in the blue grocery cart located in the coat rack area. Financial contributions are also accepted (cash, check or through our website). Please mark your tax deductible donation “WFCM Food Pantry.” This will be recorded on your giving statement.

World Communion Sunday offers us an opportunity to experience Holy Communion in the context of the global community of faith.
The first Sunday of October has become a time when Christians in every culture break bread and pour the cup to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church.
On that day, we remember that we are part of the whole body of believers.
Christians celebrate the communion liturgy in as many ways as there are congregations. World Communion Sunday can be both a profound worship experience and a time for learning more about our wider community of faith.
Come, celebrate at Pender today at 8:15, 9:30 or 11:00 AM
Pastor Dan will be preaching at all 3 services and will continue his sermon series based on our church-wide study, “Solve: Finding God’s Solutions in a World of Problems.” This week’s sermon is entitled “Food Network Solutions (Nehemiah 5:1-19).
Please try to attend this service — as a time for supporting the efforts of our children, and as a time for showing appreciation for our praise band’s service at Pender. We believe you will experience the goodness of our “Good Good Father” and His love for His children of ALL ages!!
