September 28: Pender UMC Calendar Events
September 28: Items of the week needed for Western Fairfax Christian Ministries to distribute to the needy in our area:
- Canned meat
- 46 oz. bottles of oil, fruit juices, plastic bags and egg cartons are always needed and welcome too!
Donations can be left in the blue grocery cart in the coat rack section.

New Sunday School Classes ~ Beginning Sept. 8th

NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES FOR CHILDREN

Beginning Sept. 8. @ 9:30-10:40 am

Room assignments for all classes – children, youth and adults – are posted inside Pender’s front doors.

Adults, you are invited to start the new school year with a desire to try a new class or return to your favorite one.

Please join us in “Learning God’s Truth Together.”

Church Calendar

24 Aug

It’s time to make room reservations for events, meetings, Bible studies, small groups, rehearsals, etc. for the 2013-2014 school year (September through June).

Reservations are made on the calendar for one year only, and must be resubmitted annually. (Nothing is automatically re-reserved.)

This does not apply to those who submitted forms in January for the 2013 calendar year. Those re-submissions will be needed in December.

Art of Parenting Workshop

September 15th from 12:30 – 3:30pm

at Pender in the Common Ground room

Biblical principles of parenting by Pastor Kenny, followed by parenting workshop by the Wellness Connection LLC experts.

Cost for the workshop is $20 per person or $25 per couple. Lunch is provided and Childcare is also provided upon request. We offer an early bird registration discount of $15 per person and $20 per couple if you register before August 21st.

Please make checks payable to PUMC and write Art of Parenting in the memo line.
