Sermon Sunday, September 22

Sermon on September 22nd:

Children must be Taught – Deuteronomy 4:9

Who trains your child? You or the Public School? Who gives your child his/her values, morals? You or the Day Care? Who instructs your child about faith? You or the Church? It’s a duty to train up a child and teach the commandments. How are you doing with it?

“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.” (Deuteronomy 4:9)

Blessing of the Backpacks

Next Blessing of the Backpacks

September 1st at 9:30 am Service

Children are encouraged to bring their school backpacks to be blessed during the 9:30 Common Ground Service.

A special token will be given to each child to take with them to school every day to remind them that they are blessed.

Music Transportation Ministry?

Pender’s Music Ministry is considering starting a transportation ministry to help those families who are unable to get their children to the church on Thursday afternoons for choir and bell rehearsals. Before we can do that, however, we need to know how much interest there would be in starting this ministry.
