Thank you! It’s not too late to make a Faith Promise Pledge!

MANY THANKS to everyone who helped with the 26th Annual Missions Conference! We appreciate the support received from the Children’s Council, the Youth Group, UMM, UMW, AV Team, Music Ministry, Nursery Workers, Custodial Staff, the Church Office and Pastoral Staff and members of the Mission’s Committee and others too numerous to mention. Thank you so much for your assistance.

We have faith promises so far totaling $213,435 towards our goal of $310,000 for the 2013/2014 fiscal year. Thank you to everyone who has pledged! Additional pledges are always welcome. Please be sure to see an usher to receive a yellow pledge card or stop by the office.

Mission’s Conference Speaker, Dr. Frank Decker

Dr. Frank Decker spoke at the 26th Annual Pender Missions Conference about his work sharing Jesus with the world.

Frank currently serves as the Vice President for Member Care and Development for The Mission Society, based in Norcross, GA, where he enables the ministries of over 200 missionaries serving in 35 countries.

Prior to serving in the home office, Frank and his wife Vicki served as missionaries to Ghana, West Africa, for seven years. In Ghana, Frank served as the National Director of Evangelism for the Methodist Church of Ghana, taught evangelism at Trinity College and developed a ministry that currently has over 300 tent-making evangelists.

Frank has written over 60 published columns and articles on missions.

Pender United Methodist Men Missions Conference Breakfast 2013

Please join us Saturday morning April 13th as the Pender Men help prepare breakfast for our missionaries and Pender faithful.

You may sign up to help or to simply attend and enjoy the breakfast, music, singing, and speakers. (Breakfast is served at 8am and more information about the entire Missions Conference can be found at http://www.penderumc.org/mission-conference.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

Pender’s Annual Mission Conference ~ April 12-14th

The 26th annual Missions Conference weekend is Friday, April 12th to Sunday, April 14th. We will have activities for the whole family to enjoy. Including two themed pot luck suppers of South American and Asian/Indian Food, South American Dance Demonstrations, as well as, missionary speakers and wonderful music. A full agenda is available by clicking on this LINK.

Thank you for your support of the Faith Promise Missions Budget each year. The Faith Promise Mission’s Budget is separate from the general budget of the church and is funded by faith promises. A faith promise is when you make a promise to provide financial support to missions, you may not know where the resources will come from, and you trust God to provide the resources to meet your promise. This year’s Faith Promise Missions Budget goal is $310,000 and supports global and local missionaries, missionary organizations, short-term mission trips and projects.
