Sermon Series: STORIES

June 7 – The Children’s Musical, The Sailor’s Bible, will be presented by the Asbury and Wesley Choirs of Pender UMC.

This new children’s musical includes three Bible stories: Noah and the Great Flood, Jonah and the Great Fish, and Paul’s Shipwreck. Each story features the ocean as a symbol for the chaos of life and shows how only the power of God is greater than the natural forces of wind and wave.

It’s all done with a childlike playfulness full of humor and songs rich with catchy melodies.

June 7: Sunday School Class: The Truth Project (began September 21) This Focus on the Family’s DVD series, with 26 one-half hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett, is the starting point for looking at life from a Biblical perspective. lesson discusses the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
June 7: Sunday School Class: The Good and Beautiful God (began September 21) (Room 205 – Library) A new Sunday School course immediately after the 9:30 am worship service led by Brian and Angie Green will be reading and discussing this book. June 7: Sunday School II for adults. New Study: The Good and Beautiful Community 10:45 am-noon

Join us in worship Sunday, June 1st at all three services as the Wesley and Asbury choirs present “Holy Moses!” a telling of the life of Moses in the form of the popular television series “Trading Places.”

It’s that time of year again! Pender’s Music Ministry Registrations are now open!

Rehearsal Times

Cherub Choir – Age 3 1/2 through kindergarten, rehearses Thursdays 5:00pm – 5:30pm, Preschool Music Room.
Cherub Bells – Kindergarteners only, rehearses Thursdays 5:30-5:50, Preschool Music Room.
Rainbow Chimers – Grades 1 and 2, rehearses Thursdays 5:15pm – 5:30pm, Chapel
Children’s Handbells – Grades 3-6, rehearses Thursdays 4:45 – 5:15pm, Chapel and Sanctuary
Asbury Choir – Grades 1-2, rehearses Thursdays 5:30pm – 6:00pm, room 215
Wesley Choir – Grades 3-6, rehearses Thursdays 5:15pm – 6:00pm, choir room
Youth Handbells – Grades 7-12, rehearses Sundays 5:00pm – 5:45pm, Chapel and Sanctuary
Youth Choir – Grades 7-12, rehearses Sundays 5:45pm – 6:30pm
Youth Instrumental Ensemble – Rehearses 4:15 – 5:00pm in the Sanctuary, kick-off after marching band season (November)

Revelation Ringers (adult beginner handbells), rehearses Tuesdays 6-6:45 pm in the Sanctuary
Carillon Ringers (intermediate handbells), rehearses Tuesdays 7-7:45 pm in the Sanctuary
Joy Ringers (advanced handbells), rehearses Tuesdays 7:45-8:45 pm in the Sanctuary

Even if you are a returning member, but please register anyway so that we can make sure everything is up to date and in the same place.
