About MaryO
Cushing's and kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) patient, founder, owner and webmaster of Cushing's Help and Support, web designer, piano teacher and mom.
I am a Cushing's patient who has dealt with Cushing's symptoms since 1983 (or earlier) and the aftereffects of pituitary surgery since 1987.
Because I had very little support for my symptoms, diagnosis and surgery, I decided to try to make things a little better for other patients and started a support site called Cushing's Help and Support in 2000. The site has grown to astronomical numbers. This disease isn't as rare as doctors have told us!
In 2006, I was also diagnosed with kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma). My left kidney and adrenal gland were removed. Having an adrenal gland removed complicates my post-Cushing's symptoms.
I am not planning to have any more rare and unusual diseases.
My entire bio to date can be found here: http://www.cushings-help.com/maryos_story.htm
But, enough of that - it's not always about Cushing's, or even Cancer. This one is about Life!

Food will be in Fellowship Hall; remember to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the music outside (weather permitting).
If you are entering a chili, please have it there as close to 5 p.m. as possible, and bring it in a crock pot to keep it warm.

All funds raised will be paid directly to Pender United Methodist Church for Funds will be used for our Building in Faith Capital Campaign.
Order your shirt in grey or mint green here: https://www.booster.com/pender-umc-building-in-faith-shirts
The deadline to place orders is April 30th. We are hoping everyone will wear their new shirts to our upcoming Pender fundraising events! (We had over 100 Pender people dine together at our fundraiser held at Jason’s Deli.)
We offered two colors and two styles (a unisex that goes from youth through adult and a ladies cut). We chose these colors based on recommended colors from the t-shirt designer, since colors we had originally selected would not have highlighted our logo as well once they were printed. And limiting it to two will allow us to better stand out as a group at these events.

After doing research on miracles around the world, Scott Levesque writes – “Miracles are happening all around us, and this includes miracles of healing. I am certain that the same Spirit of Jesus, involved in the healings of Bible days, is with us today.”
With this in mind, we hope you are planning to join us for this service when Pastor Kenny will anoint those needing healing and will lift prayers on their behalf.
