Missions Conference 2013 ~ Keynote Speaker
Frank Decker currently serves as the Vice President for Member Care and Development for The Mission Society, based in Norcross, GA, where he enables the ministries of over 200 missionaries serving in 35 countries.
Prior to serving in the home office, Frank and his wife Vicki served as a missionaries to Ghana, West Africa, for seven years. In Ghana Frank served as the National Director of Evangelism for the Methodist Church of Ghana, taught evangelism at Trinity College, and developed a ministry that currently has over 300 tent-making evangelists. The Deckers also started a church in their living room in Accra, Ghana that currently has several hundred members and thrives under national leadership today.
Frank has written over 60 published columns and articles on missions.
Frank and Vicki have been married for 31 years and they have three adult children.
Frank’s formal education includes degrees from West Virginia Wesleyan College and Emory University.
The 26th Annual Missions Conference at Pender UMC will take place April 12-14, 2013.
We invite you to come and bring your family and friends. There will be special activities for the children as well as babysitting for each event.
Come share in this exciting weekend! The Annual Missions Conference is an opportunity to meet visiting missionaries, hear their stories about what God is doing in the lives of people, and how lives are being changed throughout the world because of Pender’s Faith Promise Missions outreach. UMW Mother and Daughter Tea
Pender’s UMW wants the women of the church to have time to reserve on their calendars the date of our tea on Sunday, May 19, at 2:30 PM, in the Fellowship Hall.
It will be a time for mothers/grandmothers to gather with their daughters/granddaughters, but also please know that ALL WOMEN of the church are invited! After all, we are ALL daughters of the King!!
The Harvest is Plenty, the Workers are Few!
Calling all knitters and crocheters! Our prayer shawl ministry, Casting God’s Love, needs you! A shipment of new yarn has arrived and is now available to anyone who wishes to help create Pender prayer shawls/lapghans. The harvest is plenty, the workers are few!
For more information, or to pick out yarn, stop by the Church Office and talk to Joyce Munt. This ministry continues to be such a blessing to so many. If you can’t knit or crochet and would still like to help, monetary donations will be accepted for the purchase of more yarn.
Vacation Bible School Registration ~ Volunteers Needed!
Pender’s VBS will take place July 8th-12th from 9am until noon
Registration will begin online on April 1st!
