James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Once you get to know both the man and the Book of James, you’ll never be the same again. James is a book with many topics — social justice, joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer — all of which are covered in this study.

Pender ReGift Thrift Store.   There’s a wonderful new thrift store not far from our community: 4447-C Brookfield Corp. Drive in Chantilly near the Post Office.  ReGift Thrift is a non-profit  outreach ministry of Pender United Methodist Church and in conjunction with their Outreach Center, ReGift Thrift aims to provide clothing, furniture, and household items to the needy here in Fairfax, nationally, and internationally.  Volunteer, donate, tell your friends, and come by for a great deal!  For more information, please call the store at 703-378-7371 or visit their website http://www.penderthrift.org/.
