Today at Pender UMC ~ October 18, 2015

disciples-path

Please join us for a wonderful time of worship this Sunday, October 18th, at our 8:15, 9:30 & 11:00 worship services.

Pastor Dan will continue our sermon series based on our church-wide study, “A Disciple’s Path,” and will be preaching at all 3 services on “The Story in Your Own Words” (John 1:35-49)

For many people, the term evangelism has a bad reputation because of the way it has been abused by mean-spirited preachers and manipulative politicians. Others are intimidated by the idea of sharing their faith. Some suggest that faith in Christ is a private affair, not to be shared with others. In spite of our hesitations, the New Testament is clear that we are called to share with others the good news of what God has done in Christ. How do we do that? Join us and find out.

disciples-path

Please join us for a wonderful time of worship this Sunday, October 11th, at our 8:15, 9:30 & 11:00 worship services.

Pastor Kenny & Pastor Dan will continue our sermon series based on our church-wide study, “A Disciple’s Path” and will be preaching on “The Way of Service” (Ephesians 4:1-16).

Servanthood — the practice by which the love of God becomes a tangible reality in our lives and through which we become active participants in God’s transformation of the world. Each of us has a role in the body of Christ, the church. Each of us has been called and gifted. We’ll explore how God has gifted you, where your heart has been broken, and where you are called to serve.

Today at Pender UMC ~ October 4, 2015

disciples-path

Please join us for a wonderful time of worship this Sunday, October 4th, at our 8:15, 9:30 & 11:00 worship services.

Pastor Kenny will be preaching at all three services this Sunday and will continue our sermon series based on our church-wide study, “A Disciple’s Path” and will be preaching on Money Matters (1 Timothy 6:17-19)

How do you feel about money? John Wesley was convinced that there is a direct connection between our discipleship and the use of our financial resources. He called money “an excellent gift of God” and was clear that the “love of money,” not money itself, is the “root of all evil.” Whether we have much or very little of it, how do we use this gift of God as followers of Jesus? That’s what we’ll be talking about this week.

PLEASE NOTE: Our 9:30 Common Ground Service will be held in the Sanctuary this Sunday, October 4th.
