Christmas VBS ~ Just a Few More Days to Register!

Who: Kids Ages 3 (must be potty-trained)- 6th Grade

What:“Under Wraps: The Gift We Never Expected”

Where: Pender UMC Christmas VBS

Why: Celebrate Christmas and the Gift of Jesus Christ

When: Saturday, Dec. 5th @ 10 am – 2 pm

Cost: $10 per Kid or $20 total per Family

 

Join us for Christmas VBS on December 5, 2015 while your parents enjoy the gift of time to prepare for Christmas. We will enjoy music, crafts, lunch, recreation, a story and more!

2015 Pender Woman of the Year

It’s time to nominate candidates for Pender’s Woman of the Year for 2015. Please take time to nominate a woman (or multiple women) who you feel have done exemplary work for our Church and/or our community in 2015. (Past recipients may be found on the Women of the Year plaques located across from Room 206 or in the back of the UMW Directory.)

Nomination forms are located in the United Methodist Women’s mailbox located by the elevators; and completed forms can be handed to Joyce Munt or emailed to her by clicking on this link.

The nomination forms must be turned in by Dec. 31st.

Sunday at Pender UMC ~ November 22, 2015

This Sunday, Nov. 22nd, is Church Conference Sunday and we will have only ONE Worship Service at 10:00 am. Join us for a yummy lunch after the service!

We will celebrate our ministries and elect our officers for the coming year. YOU need to be there because we will present for the church’s approval the new building and renovation program. EVERY member of Pender needs to be present so that you may have a vote about this important endeavor in the life of our church.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • No Adult and Children Sunday School.
  • Childcare will be provided from 9:45-11:45am for children birth through Kindergarten during the worship service.
  • Jr. Church for grades 1-6 will be held after the Children’s Message during the service.
  • Our Trustees request for everyone to carpool that day, if at all possible, so that parking isn’t a problem.
  • A luncheon will be held right after the worship service in the Fellowship Hall.

  • November 22: The Pender Youth Orchestra, 4:15-5:00 pm. The Youth Orchestra is open to all youth grades 7 through 12 who play a wind, brass, stringed or percussion instrument. New members are always welcome! The Orchestra plays 4-5 times during Sunday morning worship from December-June. More information.
  • November 22: Celebration Ringers, 5:00-5:45 pm.  Register for this choir
  • November 22: Youth Handbell Ensemble, 5:00-5:45 pm.  Register for this choir
  • November 22: Youth Choir, 5:45-6:30 pm.  Register for this choir
  • November 22: Turning Point Youth Group, 6:30-8:30 pm, with dinner. More information
  • November 22: Community Thanksgiving Service, 6:30 pm at Christ Presbyterian Church
