This Sunday, May 8th, is Mother’s Day — Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers!

Please join us at our 8:15, 9:30, & 11:00 Services as Pastor Kenny and Pastor Dan preach on their final sermon in the “Heaven is for Real” sermon series: “Heaven is For Real…So What?” (Philippians 1:20-27)

So much of all the talk about heaven is focused on what happens after we die. But we believe the promise of heaven has impact in how we live today! Is it possible to bring a little bit of heaven to earth?

Bring some more friends for the conclusion of “Heaven is For Real!”

Help us Feed our Mission Team Heading to Philippi, WV!

Our mission team will be heading to Philippi on July 24th through August 1st. Help us keep them strong & energized as they minister to the people there by providing them with food to eat. There will be a sign-up sheet for needed food donations located on the Sign-Up Center in the Narthex.

Cash donations are also welcome (please indicate donation is for Philippi). Please drop off your food donations in the Kitchen marked “Philippi” by July 22nd.

Today, Sunday, July 5 at Pender UMC

Pastor Dan Elmore is back with us. Dan became our Associate Pastor, again, in 2015 after serving here previously 2010-2012.

During the time in between, he started a church from scratch, and then helped another existing congregation reach out to new people, especially those who don’t “do church.” He brings those same goals to Pender.

He is passionate about leading people to discover more about God. In doing so, we always discover more about ourselves (funny how it never works the other way around).

When Dan isn’t thinking “church,” he’s enjoying time with his family; his beautiful wife Bekah, his daughter Chloe and his son Mark. They love to take advantage of all the great family activities in the NOVA/DC region.
