Videos Feature Comes to the YouVersion Bible App

We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new feature for the Bible App: Videos. Now you can use the Bible App to watch and share Bible video content, generously provided by YouVersion partners. You’ll find clips from The Bible miniseries, The Lumo Project from Big Book Media and Toy Gun Productions, and even more videos coming soon. You’ll even be able to enjoy clips from JESUS, the Jesus Film Media movie about Jesus’ life that’s already been shown more than 6 billion times worldwide!

At YouVersion, we’re constantly looking for new ways to help you engage with God’s Word. We believe Videos will help people connect with the Bible by letting them visually experience stories and concepts from the Bible—even if reading isn’t your favorite thing. Sharing video clips will also present new opportunities for you to invite discussion about your faith. And all video content is linked directly to the passages that inspired it, so you can jump straight to the original source!

To check out the Bible App’s new Videos feature, first make sure you have the most recent version of the Bible App on your iOS (iPhone and iPad) or Android device. Then simply go to the Bible App’s main menu and select “Videos.” (Wi-Fi access recommended for the best experience.) You’ll even see the new Videos feature on Bible.com.

The last day to order is March 7, 2013

This is our annual fundraiser, enabling the Pender Men to sponsor short-term mission trips for men from Pender to minister in places like Peru, Thailand, Poland, Paraguay, and Philippi, WV. Funds raised also support local missions including the Voices of Youth, FACETS, Western Fairfax Christian Ministries, and other vital Pender activities.

This year we will be delivering mulch on Saturday, March 16th.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation mentors needed!

Confirmation Class starts on March 17th for all 7th graders and up who have not joined as members of Pender UMC.

If you want to be a part of this exciting time, either as a mentor or to be confirmed, please contact Tim Lyberger.

No Youth Group this Sunday, March 3rd
(Teens will be on the Ski Retreat)

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

JC Reigns at Arcola UMC Saturday Night, for Benefit Concert

Please join us on Saturday evening, 7:00 @ Arcola United Methodist Church for a benefit concert, supporting Camp Highroad.

The evening will be a mix of Christian Family music and video programs highlighting Camp Highroad and its efforts to offer a Christian camp again this summer to anyone who would like to attend.

Last year we were able to send 54 young people who might never have had that opportunity.

In advance, we appreciate your support for this wonderful cause and hope you will plan to join us in this endeavor. The event will be at Arcola UMC, but for Camp Highroad.

24757 Evergreen Mills Road, Dulles, VA.

Event will run from 7:00 until 8:30, “everyone is welcome”.
