NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS

Beginning Sept 22nd at 9:30 am in the Cornerstone Room (Rm. 215)

Christianity, Cults & Religions

  • Six-week DVD-assisted study examines Christianity, Mormonism,  Jehovah’s Witnesses, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and more.
  • Understand basic Christian beliefs.
  • Learn why cultic groups are attractive.
  • Learn what motivates each group, and why it is  important biblically to have an answer for what we believe about Jesus Christ.
  • Learn the do’s and don’ts of talking with people of other religions in a loving way.
  • Class discussion is encouraged by our team of Spirit-led Facilitators.
  • DVD series is hosted by Paul Carden, Director of The Centers of Apologetics Research.

New Sunday School Classes ~ Beginning Sept. 8th

NEW  SUNDAY  SCHOOL  CLASSES  FOR  CHILDREN

Beginning Sept. 8.   @  9:30-10:40 am

Room assignments for all classes – children, youth and adults – are posted inside Pender’s front doors.

Adults, you are invited to start the new school year with a desire to try a new class or return to your favorite one.

Please join us in “Learning God’s Truth Together.”

Tomorrow at Pender

We will have breakfast snacks provided during the 8:15 and 9:30 worship services, with a full blown, “old fashioned” Methodist pot luck after the 11:00 service.

Our ministry areas and cluster leads will be on hand to answer questions and greet our guests. It is our hope you will join us, with a friend, to make a difference on Back To Church Sunday on September 8th!

Come and invite a friend for a spectacular day of food, fellowship, new faces and ministry opportunities!

September 8, 2013 Sermon: What’s Missing in CH__CH?

The scripture will be Mark 1:29-31. “As soon as they left the synagogue, they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.  Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.  So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up. The fever left her and she began to wait on them.”

THANKS to all who have volunteered to serve as teachers and assistants so this ministry can continue throughout the summer!  We were overwhelmed with the response to our request for teachers and are very grateful!
