Interested in helping with neighborhood outreach? We’re looking for Pender people interested in interfacing with your neighborhood’s newsletter publisher or webmaster to share information about the ReGift Thrift Store, Pender and its ministries. Pender ReGift Thrift Store. There’s a wonderful new thrift store not far from our community: 4447-C Brookfield Corp. Drive in Chantilly near the Post Office. ReGift Thrift is a non-profit outreach ministry of Pender United Methodist Church and in conjunction with their Outreach Center, ReGift Thrift aims to provide clothing, furniture, and household items to the needy here in Fairfax, nationally, and internationally. Electronic Statements

Make your tax season a little less taxing!

Contribution statements will be delivered electronically to your ‘My Pender Page’ account (see announcement directly above) & will be mailed to everyone who doesn’t have an account.

If you have a ‘My Pender Page’ account, you will be able to access your contribution statement as soon as it’s available by logging into your account. An email will be sent to let you know it’s available.

If you don’t have an account & would like to receive an electronic statement, you can set up an account by following this link: http://www.penderumc.org/pages/page.asp?page_id=101772 Everyone with an account as of the day the statements are ready, will get it electronically delivered!

WEBSITE UPDATE ~ My Pender Page

‘My Pender Page’ is here . . . It is your direct online link to the Pender People data base. It is the new name for what we’ve called the ‘Give Online’ feature that’s been in place for several years. We’re changing the name to better describe the capability & we’re expanding the capability to serve you better. It’s online giving & much more!

Here’s what you can do now:

Manage your own information, such as family & contact info, in Pender’s database
Give Online – via ACH (direct debit to checking account)
Access your Giving Record at any time for the current and past year
- NEW for 2012 – your contribution statement for taxes will be posted here
Access the Online Pender People Directory
Access the full Church Calendar
Access the Church Life App for your smart phone (A people directory that is way COOL!)

AND here’s what you will be able to do in the near future:

Register for Events
Access the Servants Guide/Directory of Ministry Opportunities
Give Online – via credit card

We will be implementing these new capabilities & generally doing a face lift and re-design of the current page over the next few months.

Pender Concert Series

Beginning in 2013, the Pender United Methodist Church Music Ministry will be presenting a new concert series, in which we will periodically host fun musical events. These events will feature a variety of music genres and types of concerts. They will be presented by members of the Pender congregation as well as those from outside our church. Though the focus of these events will be the music, there will also be opportunities for fellowship, outreach, and mission, so keep an eye out for what’s coming up and ways to serve and participate!
The first planned concert in our series that we have coming up is “Pender People Play Piano” featuring pianists young and not-as-young from within our congregation who will be playing solos, duets, and trios on our fantastic Baldwin piano in the sanctuary.

This will be happening February 1^st at 7:30. Admission is completely free!
