Sing ‘n Celebrate, Tonight at 7:00 PM

sing-celebrate-text-header

In view of the way we hear about turmoil and divisive occurrences on practically a daily basis in our world, we believe you will want to hear more about “A Love That Unites Us.”

Saint Augustine taught that faith in Christ implies community in the church, and that the goal of Christians should be the unity of mankind.

 More about Sing ‘n Celebrate

Sing ‘n Celebrate is Pender Church’s informal evening worship service that has a focus on contemporary Christian music and original dramas and testimonies. Dress is casual and the atmosphere offers a wonderful means to start the week with God in mind.

In addition to music and testimonies, prayer is offered. Communion is served periodically.

Sing ‘n Celebrate ~ February 8  at 7:00 PM

So that you can watch the Super Bowl on Feb. 1, if you wish, Pastor Kenny has agreed that we will meet for SNC on Feb. 8.  We will focus on our theme of “A Love That Unites Us” with inspiring praise music and the words of our speaker.  This quote of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. brought this theme to mind:  “Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it.  Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes.  Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.”

We hope you are planning to return this evening for a casual time of worship when the possibility of a love that unites us can become more real through the music of JC Reigns, the words of Lloyd Rollins and the prayers lifted up by our congregation.

JC Reigns leads worship with both modern Christian songs and a selection of old church hymns – the aim is to meet the needs of all who attend. JC Reigns has been together for 14 years and over the course of that time, has recorded five Christian CDs and used all the proceeds to benefit world wide and local charities.

Whether you are a new Christian, or have been following Christ for years, this is just a wonderful way to gather in fellowship, sing songs to God and listen to your brothers and sisters as they share their faith. We invite you to come and bring a friend, meet other Pender People and leave with a song on your heart and the Son in your eyes.
