Back to Church Sunday ~ September 8th ~ INVITE A FRIEND!

back-to-church

We will have breakfast snacks provided during the 8:15 and 9:30 worship services, with a full blown, “old fashioned” Methodist pot luck after the 11:00 service.

Our ministry areas and cluster leads will be on hand to answer questions and greet our guests.

It is our hope you will join us, with a friend, to make a difference on Back To Church Sunday on September 8th!

Come and invite a friend for a spectacular day of food, fellowship, new faces and ministry opportunities!

Lent

Lent

Lent is a time to prepare for Easter.  United Methodists begin Lent on Ash Wednesday and continue celebrating Lent until Easter. We view Lent as a way to slow down and focus on God, so many Methodists will give up foods or activities during this time. The purpose of giving something up is to find more time to focus on God.

Here’s what Chuck Knows Church has to say about Lent.

Ever heard, “I’m giving up sweets for Lent”? Why does Lent make people want to give up something? And how do you calculate the 40 days of Lent?
