Sing ‘n Celebrate This Evening – at Pender UMC

sing-celebrate-text-header

Sing ‘n Celebrate is Pender Church’s informal evening worship service that has a focus on contemporary Christian music and original dramas and testimonies. Dress is casual and the atmosphere offers a wonderful means to start the week with God in mind.

In addition to music and testimonies, prayer is offered. Communion is served periodically.

Sing ‘n Celebrate ~ May 3  at 7:00 PM

Featuring Family Life/Mothers

You won’t want to miss our May SNC – especially if you are part of a busy family. When we think of spirituality, we often picture inner peace and tranquility. But families are anything but tranquil.

According to Bonnie Miller-McLemore, “walking according to the pace of children can deepen faith.Children form adults as much as the reverse, and they have much to teach adults about the life of faith.

Keep in mind the fact that this service will speak to grandparents as much as it does to parents!! We welcome children at our services, since they bring a special joy to this time of worship.

JC Reigns leads worship with both modern Christian songs and a selection of old church hymns – the aim is to meet the needs of all who attend. JC Reigns has been together for 14 years and over the course of that time, has recorded five Christian CDs and used all the proceeds to benefit world wide and local charities.

Whether you are a new Christian, or have been following Christ for years, this is just a wonderful way to gather in fellowship, sing songs to God and listen to your brothers and sisters as they share their faith. We invite you to come and bring a friend, meet other Pender People and leave with a song on your heart and the Son in your eyes.

A Way to Serve the Lord…

User Organizations have the responsibility to ensure that their events are safe for everyone.  As such, the following rules apply:

  • The Church Buildings shall be kept locked at all times except Sunday mornings.
  • Card keys are available to church members who have a need to access the building during times when it is locked.  A request form must be filled out and turned in along with a $5 refundable deposit in order to receive a key
  • For events at times when the building is locked, the User Organization shall appoint greeters to be stationed at the door(s) to let people in and to direct them to the event.  At NO time shall the doors shall not be left open/unlocked
  • The User Organization will ensure that all members of their Group are contained within the agreed upon area for their event, and that members do not visit other parts of the Church.
  • The User Organization may open internal doors and windows for additional ventilation but must close and secure all doors and windows upon completion of their event.
  • The User Organization must ensure all lights are turned off in the areas they have used and that all external doors are locked when they depart.
