Counters Needed!

counters

Do you like to count money and operate a spreadsheet? Do you have the gift of administration? If so, we can use your help on Sunday mornings counting our worship offerings and making sure they get securely deposited in the bank.

The counting committee is in need of counters to help on Sunday mornings.

  • Counters are placed on teams of 3 people (with no related people on a team)
  • Each team is scheduled to count about once every 2 months.
  • The teams count offerings for all 3 services, and Sunday School, on their scheduled Sunday.
  • They normally start following the 8:15 service, and continue to count after Common Ground and the 11:00 services.
  • Teams are usually done by the time the 11:00 service lets out.

To be a counter, one must be a member of Pender UMC, at least a senior in high school and be proficient in Excel. Counters will be limited to a 3 year term. The Finance Committee must approve all counters.

2015 August CAMPMEETING – HOLINESS: DO I REALLY LIVE DIFFERENT?

August 2 – I’m A Christian So What? – I Peter 1:13-19

9:15 and 11 – Pastor Kenny

Holiness or being holy isn’t even a word in our vocabulary. Yet, it is the results of anyone who is trying to live like Jesus. Or it should be. We have been told come to Jesus and believe but is that all? Does it mean changes in me as to how I talk and how I act and how I live?

August 2 –More Than Do’s & Don’ts 1 Peter 1:13-16

9:30 Common Ground – Pastor Dan

When some folks think of the Bible, they envision not much more than a list of do’s and don’ts. To be honest, many Christians have reinforced that idea. Yes, there are some do’s and don’ts in the Bible, but there’s a bigger picture at stake. What is it? Join us and find out

What is it? Join us and find out.

 August 9 – Spiritual Exercise – Galatians 5:16-21

9:30 Common Ground – Pastor Dan

Health experts tell us that physical exercise can help us avoid bad things happening to our bodies, like heart disease or back pain. Did you know that spiritual exercise can help you stay spiritually healthy as well? Come learn a new exercise routine. We promise this one doesn’t make you sweat as much.

August 16 – So that…  – John 15:5-8

9:30 Common Ground – Pastor Dan

We don’t just follow lists of rules in the Bible and practice spiritual exercise for the fun of it. There’s a purpose in mind. If you pursue this purpose, we guarantee life will

August 23 – In His House: Embrace Your Place – 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

All 3 – Pastor Dan

When we find the place we’re meant to be, we can discover more about ourselves than we thought possible.

In this two-part series, we’ll learn that the search for purpose can lead you to some unexpected places. In week one, learn to embrace the moment in time God has placed you in: you’re there for a reason. And in week two, we’ll explore how God uses highly unlikely people in highly unlikely ways to bring about highly unlikely results, when we’re just obedient.

August 30 – In His House: Unlikely – John 6:1-15

All 3 – Pastor Dan
